For the seventh year running, the international interiors show imm cologne has invited an international designer to use architecture, interior design and furniture in a simulated house in order to make a personal statement about contemporary living. Once again, Dinesen is proud to be part of the special “Das Haus” installation.
The large house installation is a recurring element, where the very best architects and designers are nominated to create their personal vision of home. This year, the honour was given to the Czech designer Lucie Koldova, who is known for her use of classic craftsmanship and cutting-edge technologies with primary focus on the pure beauty of materials such as wood and glass, and her extraordinary flair in designing lighting fixtures and lighting effects.
From 15-21 January, visitors can explore the 180 m2 large house where the subject of light, appearing in various forms and controlled in different ways, plays the main role. A significant part of Koldova’s “Haus” is the Relax Room which is covered in Douglas Dinesen planks both inside and out. The flooring is Douglas Natural while the walls are covered with Douglas Interior Lists in both horizontal, vertical and diagonal pattern.
Das Haus 2018” can be experienced from 15-21 January in the Pure Editions area, Hall 2.2 at imm cologne.
“I chose Dinesen due to its excellent quality, large formats of flooring beams and beautiful colour finishings. I wanted to use a certified high-end design trademark which I could rely on.”
