Victoria Miro Gallery

Victoria Miro opened her first gallery in London in 1985, and today, she owns and runs two galleries. One in a former furniture factory in north east London and a more intimate gallery in Mayfair, located in a beautiful Victorian building. Indoors, the visitor is greeted by a very different, minimalist architecture with a great emphasis on detail. To achieve a sense of continuity and a light feel, the GrandOak floor was installed before the walls were built, making the walls float delicately above the floor surface. A very elegant solution by Michael Drain Architects, that allows the extraordinary dimensions to speak for themselves and brings out the best in the art presented at Victoria Miro Gallery.

Victoria Miro is one of London’s most highly respected art dealers. She represents both established artists and talents from a new generation, and the gallery is, in every sense, worth a visit.
